Dorset Ethnic Heroes Awards
Celebrating the Heroes Among Us
Honouring the people and organisations strengthening Dorset through leadership, service, creativity and courage.
What is DEHA?
The Dorset Ethnic Heroes Awards (DEHA) is a county-wide celebration of excellence, impact and leadership within Dorset’s ethnic minority communities. Building on the trusted legacy of the Dorset Ethnic Minority Awards (DEMA), DEHA recognises individuals, businesses and organisations whose work helps communities thrive.
DEHA shines a spotlight on achievements across business, education, health and social care, arts and culture, sport, innovation and volunteering. Our mission is clear: to champion greater awareness, strengthen social inclusion and celebrate positive contributions that shape a stronger Dorset for everyone.
From first-time nominees to longstanding community leaders, the ethnic heroes awards create a platform for visibility, pride and connection. Every nomination tells a story of resilience, dedication and impact.
